Portroe's Alan Kelly was responding to queries from Sinn Féin, which has questioned the personal interests of Fine Gael members.
Yesterday Gerry Adams pointed out that 24 Fine Gael TDs and Senators are landlords – and asked whether this was the reason they opposed plans to cap the cost of rent.
But Alan Kelly says that's not the case – and if it was, he wouldn't stand for it.
