The CSO says the number of trips by people from the UK rose by almost 12 per cent.
The number from the rest of Europe increased by almost 13 per cent; and the number of trips from US residents jumped by 17 per cent.
Irish people made more trips abroad too in the same period – that figure increased by almost 7 per cent.
