Investigations are underway into the cause of a fire in Cahir.

The premises on the Cashel road are understood to have been badly damaged with the canteen and offices area destroyed.

2 units from Cahir Fire Brigade tackled the blaze – they returned to base shortly after 1am.

Gardai in Cahir are investigating the cause of the fire – the scene has been preserved overnight pending a forensic examination.
