A man in his 30's is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene – at an apartment on Park Place, Upper High Street, Killarney at about six o'clock last evening.

Paramedics treated the infant at the scene however he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The man who is in his thirties was rushed to University Hospital Kerry, Tralee where he is receiving treatment.
The scene is preserved for forensic examination.
