Inds to continue negotiations on Gov today

It's now believed it's unlikely that Enda Kenny will be elected Taoiseach by Thursday – as he has yet to secure the additional backing of six more TDs.

Talks with independents went on late into the evening yesterday.

Speaking afterwards Deputy Dennis Naughten says the negotiations can't be rushed.

Meanwhile parliamentary party meetings of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael will take place this evening to discuss the minority deal.

As part of it Micheál Martin's party's agreed not to vote down the Government for at least three budgets.

Independents outside of the talks will also catch sight of the agreement for the first today
