574 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country today.

INMO figures show University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 99 patients on trolleys.

That’s followed by 72 at Cork University Hospital, and 62 at University Hospital Galway.

For the second day in a row the nursing union reports no overcrowding at TUH in Clonmel or Nenagh Hospital.
