Tipp parents protest lack of service for special needs children

Clonmel was among a number of locations around the country where protest marches took place as part of the “Enough is Enough” campaign.

The group is trying to get the HSE to tackle what they say are outrageously long waiting times for appointments, intervention and a general lack of services available to children and families with special needs.

Events took place at 16 centres around the country today including in Clonmel where those involved marched from the Main Guard to the HSE offices on the Western Road to highlight their call for better services.

In a statement to Tipp FM the HSE acknowledged the frustrations of those parents involved in today’s demonstration in Clonmel and are working to improve services.
