No sign of hospital overcrowding easing

There are 482 patients on trolleys at hospitals around the country today.

University Hospital Limerick, which provides emergency department cover for North Tipp, topped the overcrowding list with 42 patients without a bed.

That’s followed by 37 at Cork University Hospital, and 32 at University Hospital Galway.

There are 26 people awaiting treatment on trolleys or in overflow wards at South Tipp General.
