Almost 550 hospital patients without a bed today

The Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation has counted 543 hospital patients on trolleys today.

The union says Cork University Hospital is the worst impacted, with 89 patients on trolleys.

University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp – follows with 77 while TUH in Clonmel has 17.

There are three patients without a bed at Nenagh Hospital today.
