Government Ministers urge resolution to airport dispute

The Transport Minister has appealed to SIPTU to call off what he calls its  “unnecessary” strike at Aer Lingus and the DAA.

Members of the public are less than impressed with plans by SIPTU workers at Aer Lingus as well as those at Shannon Cork and Dublin airports to down tools on the 14th of March.

The four hour work stoppage – the result of a row with management over a pension deficit – could cause travel chaos for thousands of passengers over St Patrick's weekend.
