Further rise in Tipperary dole queues

New Live Register figures for July also show the numbers are continuing to rise unabated.

Currently across the Premier County there are over 14 thousand 700 or so people seeking some form of employment benefit.

The last time Tipperary's dole queue numbers were that high was almost 10months ago and in the intervening period the figures have fluctuated greatly but started their current climb- both North and South – between April and May.

The data from the Central Statistics Office show another rise in July – with a further 251 people seeking welfare payments. Thurles was the worst affected area followed by Nenagh and then Clonmel- There were also hikes in Tipp Town, Roscrea, Cashel, Cahir and Carrick on Suir

However it must be also noted that year on year – the figures for all of those areas last month are still down on July 2014.
