Just under two million Euro has been allocated for the family type accommodation units in Fethard.
The funding announced by Environment Minister Alan Kelly will allow the social housing units on the Killenaule Road to be completed in around 6 months.
The units work out at around €148,000 each which is the current average price for a house in the Premier County according to figures this week from property website Daft-dot-ie.
