The controversial Shannon pipeline which would supply water to Dublin is back in the news.
The Cabinet has approved new legislation that would allow the extraction of water from the Parteen Basin.
It would be treated and piped 170 kilometres to bolster the supply to Dublin.
However Liam Minehan of the Fight The Pipe group says the 1.3 billion Euro project still makes no sense.
