Emergency services praised following Carrick on Suir incident

A man who was jogging on the towpath beside the River Suir began to feel unwell – he was first given assistance by a member of the Gardaí who called for an ambulance.

The man was airlifted to University Hospital Waterford by the Rescue 117 helicopter while Carrick Fire Service and members of SEMRA were also involved in the response.
