Facilities at a Tipperary primary school are set for a major improvement.

The County Council has approved planning permission for works at Boher National School.

The Board of Management lodged an application last May for the demolition of two existing prefabricated classrooms. These will be replaced with two single storey stand-alone buildings with covered walkways.

These will accommodate a classroom and an early intervention room as well as associated ancillary accommodation.
