Disease found in Tipp ash trees

The Department of Agriculture has also confirmed two findings of the disease in farm landscaping and agri-environment scheme plantings in the Premier County.

Up to the end of June ash dieback – which is caused by a fungus – has been found in a further 49 forestry plantations across the country bringing the total to 164.

The DOA says the disease is present to a greater or lesser extent in all 26 counties.
