Remains found in Wicklow still unidentified

Mystery still surrounds the identity of the man whose torso was found in the Wicklow Mountains over the weekend.

Gardai have now confirmed more remains, believed to be human, have been found close to the site.

On Saturday evening a group of people found a torso in a rural part of the Wicklow Mountains on the military road in Enniskerry.

Tests confirmed the remains belonged to a white man around 25 years old who died in the past ten days.

It’s not clear how he died but detectives say he met a violent and sinister end.

Now gardai have confirmed more remains, believed to be human, have been found around 20km away near Glenmacanass Waterfall.

The area where the remains were found is popular with walkers and cyclists and anyone who may have spotted anything – unusual in the past ten days is asked to contact Gardai.
