Creighton committed to Renua

Ms Creighton, who founded the Renua party after she left Fine Gael, lost her seat in Dublin Bay South.

The former Fine Gael Junior Minister was first elected to the Dáil in 2007.

Lucinda Creighton says she believes she has made a contribution to political life and says she is looking forward to the next chapter.

Ms Creighton says she's committed to the party – but she says it's too early to say whether she will remain on as leader.
