The completion of resurfacing on Slievenamon road on the N62 has been in the pipeline for some time and it was expected to get underway in the coming months.
Sections of the route have seriously deteriorated in recent years following heavy floods and frost.

Local Fianna Fail Councillor John Hogan says repair work has been delayed for several reasons and he's fearful it now won't be carried out anytime soon.
