Fears that long awaited road works in Tipperary Town were being deferred have been allayed.
Concerns had been raised this week that it could be a year or more before the badly needed works on the main road through the West Tipp town would finally commence.
However local Fine Gael Councillor Michael Fitzgerald says this is definitely not the case with the project set to start within weeks.
