Having closed down just over 12 months ago the landmark site in the heart of the town has been purchased by the Magnier family and a business partner.
They have already appointed a design team for the project which will be liaising with the planning authority to ensure the work is carried out sensitively.
President of Cashel Chamber of Commerce Aidan Hynes says the town has been crying out for a hotel for years.
