Clonmel prepares for festival season

The annual Festival Cluain Meala will see the town transformed with a programme of bike races, musical entertainment and medieval features and re-enactments.

The busking festival takes place next weekend and will feature hundreds of musicians throughout the streets.

The heritage festival will feature the Medieval Inn Trail on Friday night while the County Museums Summer Camp will run from the 4th to the 7th August.

The Suir Valley 3-Day cycle race begins (began) today and will run right through the Bank Holiday weekend.

Irish national champion Damian Shaw says combining the three festivals is a novel idea and will benefit Clonmel greatly.
