Eight animal charities across County Tipperary have been awarded funding from the Department of Agriculture.
Over €82 thousand has been allocated to welfare organisations in the county as part of €1.8 million given to 136 groups.
Eight Tipperary animal welfare organisations have been included in this year's allocations. The agricultural minister has allocated a total of €1.8 million nationally, with a specific focus on horse welfare given new laws on identification and registration.
Paws animal rescue, based in Mullinahone, has been granted €28,000 while Cottage Rescue in Cashel is to get €8,400.
€8,400 is to go to Mo Chara Animal Rescue in Thurles as well, Tipperary Friends of Animals SPCA in Nenagh has been granted €5,600 while South Tipperary Dog Rescue in Mount Bruis has gotten €1,200.
Tipperary South SPCA in Clonmel is to get €14,000 while in the North of the county, Roscrea SPCA gets €15,400.
Great Hounds in Need in Kilcash has got €1,200 in funding.
The money will be paid out with immediate effect.
