The makers of Bulmers are to pay over two hundred thousand Euro for a leading US cider business.
The announcement that it is to purchase the Vermont Hard Cider Company for €233,000 led to a rise in the share price of C&C.
This was despite lower than expected half-year results for the company due to weak sales in Ireland and the UK of both Bulmers and Magners ciders which are made in Clonmel.
