Car thefts affecting hillwalking tourism trade

In recent weeks, there has been a spate of break-ins in cars around the Galtee Mountains and other locations in the county. 

There are no monitored car parking facilities for hiking and hill walking trails in Tipperary, over the weekend,  a Dutch couple on holidays in Ireland and a couple from Galway in the Glen were targeted. 

Jimmy Barry from South Eastern Mountain Rescue says something needs to be done urgently.
