Calls for a dedicated men’s shelter in Clonmel

A Tipperary councillor has renewed calls for a men’s shelter in Clonmel following extreme weather conditions this winter.

Cllr Pat English has said there is a special need for a shelter catered to men in the town, and he has highlighted the need for an inter-agency approach.

A women’s shelter exists in the town, but the men’s shelter that was previously based in the town closed down when there was a lack of volunteers.
