The call’s going out for locals to sponsor a new roof on the Scouts Hall in Nenagh.
The hall was rennovated by the Nenagh Choral Society in 2014 with the help of the popular ”sponsor a chair” initiative.
Now they need to replace the 80-year-old asbestos roof so you’re been asked to sponsor a square metre of the new roof for 20 euro.
Funding has been secured for most of the 100-thousand Euro cost of the project but there a shortfall of 20-thousand euro.
Director Michael Cormack says they won’t go as far as putting names on the roof itself, but every contributor’s name will be visible in the hall.
