Cahill speaks on agriculture debate in Dáil

During a debate on Agriculture newly elected TD Jackie Cahill lead the exchange for Fianna Fail.

The former ICMSA president accused the acting Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney of downplaying the crisis in the industry.

The Thurles Deputy says there's no sign of an improvement on the horizon and that farmers have to get financial help to ease the burden.

Deputy Cahill also singled out the plight of beef farmers for particular mention.

During the Dail debate he hit out at the current set-up in the sector.
