Cahill calls for ash dieback compensation

A Tipperary TD is demanding compensation for farmers affected by Ash Dieback.

It’s a a chronic fungal disease of ash trees that’s decimated forestries in Ireland over the past decade.

Jackie Cahill has raised the issue with the Minister for Agriculture in the Dáil.

The Fianna Fail Deputy says farmers who have lost crops are being ignored.
