Bumbleance hits Tipperary

Described as “the world's first interactive ambulance service designed specifically for children” it's currently being pushed all over Ireland to raise money for charity as part of a Mega Push to buy two more.

Behind the Mega Push is the Saoirse Foundation, which was founded by Tony and Mary Heffernan after they lost their 2 children to Battens disease.

Yesterday was the fifth day of the vehicle's 10 day journey and saw the Bumbleance arrive in Birdhill from Adare.

This morning it will head from Birdhill through Nenagh and Roscrea, before moving on to Moneygall.

Mike O' Shea – one of the organisers of the Mega-Push – has been struck by people's generosity and support along the route.
