Tipperary County Council has approved the development which will be located at Pill Road, adjacent to St Bridget's hospitals.
The development comprises of a two and three storey facility with services such as surgeries, nursing rooms, dental care, physiotherapy, mental health supports and chiropody.
Planning permission allows for the existing health centre to be demolished while new car parking facilities will be provided for.
Local Labour Senator Denis Landy expects the project to proceed quite quickly now as it goes to tender following which a contractor will be appointed.
