At last week's area meeting, councillors said the problem of owners not cleaning up after their animals was affecting tourism and causing complaints.
Officials from the Environment section say that they are planning a pilot project in the district to combat the problem and if it's successful, they plan to roll it out across the area.
Labour's Fiona Bonfield is welcoming the project and says it's something that needs to be tackled.
