A Tipperary TD says abusing horses by racing them with lightweight carts is not part of Traveller culture and should be banned.
Gardai are investigating a video of a so-called sulky race, which was held on the N7 near Citywest in Dublin at the weekend.
Deputy Mattie McGrath says the races are designed to make money, and are extremely dangerous.
