48% of speeding offences in Premier County go unpunished

The Irish Independent reports that nationally out of almost 67,000 speeding cases listed between January 2015 and October of this year – around 31,000 were struck out for non-delivery of a summons.

During that time 2,923 cases were recorded in the Tipperary Garda Division – of these 1,396 summonses weren't served.

The problem was at its worst in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim where 84 out of 99 summonses weren't served.
