182 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country today.

The latest figures from the INMO show 138 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 44 are in wards.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 36 patients on trolleys, followed by Cork University Hospital with 24.

There are no patients on trolleys in Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel or at Nenagh General.
