13 Tipp projects allocated funding

Tipperary projects are set to benefit from almost €1 million of funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

The money from the Department of Rural and Community Development is aimed at kick-starting economic activity in rural areas.

13 projects in the county have been allocated between €20,000 and €100,000 – with Cashel, Fethard and Killenaule allocated the maximum amount of €100,000 each.

In Cashel it will go towards a Pedestrian Walkway along the Circular Road; in Fethard it will be used to enhance the Town Walls; and 100 car parking spaces are set to be created in Killenaule with their allocation.

Mullinahone has been allocated €32,000 – local Councillor Eddie O’Meara details what it’ll be spent on.
