Review underway of Our Lady’s Hospital in Cashel

The HSE is conducting a review of Our Ladys Hospital in Cashel.

The expectation is that the Cashel facility will be used as a Community Care Centre and Day Hospital,
focussing on the needs of elderly patients.

The future role of the hospital has been in question despite a 12 million euro refurbishment.

But many believe that Our Ladys should be used as a step down facility to help ease the overcrowding crisis at South Tipp General.

Tipperary Independant Deputy Seamus Healy says the hospital should do what it was designed for.
