A high-tech ‘hurricane hunter’ aircraft carrying a team of scientists and meteorologists arrived in Ireland late last month from Florida.
It’s the second year that the team has set up base at Shannon Airport from where they have been carrying out vital research into weather patterns over the North Atlantic.
