Tipperary schools come up trumps at awards

 

A number of Tipperary schools have received awards at the Annual Showcase of Young Social Innovators.
Cashel Community School wonBronzewith their project “Do You Want Braille with That” which designed braille menus for restaurants.
Three other Tipperary schools also took home prizes.
St. Anne’s Secondary School, Convent of Mercy, Tipperary won the Physical Health award with  “M.O.V.E. – encouraging young people to live a healthy lifestyle.
They also won the environmental award with another project  “Green Hand which established an allotment for local unemployed people.
Meanwhile,  Ursuline secondary School, Thurles won the Community award  with their project “A Taste of Tipp” promoting locally grown food produce.
The awards were presented by  Sr Stanislaus Kennedy.
