Tipp farmers to gain from new CAP deal.

The new €12.5 billion CAP deal is set to benefit farmers across Tipperary.

The money from Common Agricultural Policy and exchequer funding will be dispersed between now and 2020.

Along with direct payments to farmers there will also be schemes for farm investment to grow the indigenous food and drink industry.

Junior Agriculture Minister Tom Hayes says that the payments are aimed at helping farmers to grow their businesses and expand into emerging markets
