Station closures a ‘major’ problem for Gardaí – AGSI

And pay is the number one issue for 84 percent of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors.

The organisation's planning a massive march on the Dáil when the new Government first sits – and says it could be in uniform – which would be unprecedented.

President-elect of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors – Antoinette Cunningham says station closures remain a major problem for the association:

Almost 1000 mid-ranking Gardaí took part in this survey by the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors.

While the details of the action have yet to be worked out, an overwhelming majority, 93%, said they supported a work to rule to reverse the 25 percent pay cuts they’ve suffered.

Motions on pay will be debated later this morning.
