Tipperary gardai are warning motorists to slow down on the county's routes as torrential rain has resulted in excess surface water on many roads.
It's already lead to a number of minor collisions while the conditions on the M8 and M7 are said to be quite dangerous in parts.
Conditions are expected to ease for a time this afternoon but Met Eireann is forecasting extremely wet and stormy weather for the weekend.
