Severe overcrowding at Limerick Hospital again today

University Hospital Limerick, which serves North Tipp, is experiencing high volumes of overcrowdng today.

It’s by far the busiest hospital in the country with a total of 57 people on trolleys in the Emergency Department and in overflow areas of wards.

South Tipp General’s figures have remained the same as yesterday with 29 people waiting on a bed.

According to the INMO, there are 432 people on trolleys in hospitals this lunchtime.
