Seamus Healy eliminated in Count 7

The count in Thurles is continuing and no new candidate has been elected.

The results of the seventh count came in just before 1 o’clock and Independent Seamus Healy has been eliminated.

His 6,936 votes will now be redistributed for transfers for the eighth vote.

A full result is expected this afternoon.

Nationally, 95 seats have been filled, with Sinn Féin claiming the lion’s share with 35.18%.
