South Tipperary residents are being urged to give blood today.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will hold a clinic in Cahir this evening as they bid to maintain vital supplies.
The session at Cahir House Hotel will run from 5 to 8.30pm.
3,000 blood donations are needed each week in Ireland but just 3% of the population donate.
For those who won’t be able to attend the clinic in Cahir this evening – there will be clinics in Clonmel next week.
The IBTS will have clinics at the Clonmel Park Hotel on Monday evening and on afternoons and evenings from Tuesday to Thursday.
