Natural gas approved for Nenagh.

The arrival of natural gas to Nenagh will maintain and create jobs.

That's the view of Minister of State Alan Kelly as he announced that the Commission for Energy Regulation has passed the application by Nenagh to get connected to natural gas.

The Labour representative says Nenagh will save an estimated €20 to €25 million over the next five years as a result.

As well as making existing businesses in Nenagh more competitive Alan Kelly says the arrival of natural gas positions the town as one of the most attractive towns in the midlands for inward investment.
