The Tipperary North TD has released a statement, where he makes it clear that, after careful deliberation and reflection, he will vote against the proposals advanced by the Government in the bill.
Lowry added that; “I feel it is unwise and a dangerous precedent to attempt to set down in legislation a medical process to define suicidal ideation in pregnant women.
I do not think that the termination of a pregnancy could ever be the appropriate response to suicidal ideation.”
