Hospital overcrowding problem continues

More than 500 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country – including six children.

According to the INMO Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded with 42 people in need of a bed.

University Hospital Limerick, which serves North Tipp, is next with 41 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.

While at South Tipp General in Clonmel, there are 38 patients without a bed.
