€34,000 is to be spent on ramps and railings to improve access to the building while other works will also be carried out internally.
The centre on Marian Road will be closed for around 7 weeks.
As a result a number of services will be relocated to other centre in the region. Public Health Nurse Clinics will operate from the Moyne Health Centre while Dental Clinics will temporarily move to St. Mary’s Health Centre in Thurles and Nenagh Hospital.
The closure has no impact on the Templemore Medical Centre on Bank Street.
