440 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country this afternoon.

The worst-hit today is University Hospital Limerick.

The Dooradoyle health facility – which caters for patients from North Tipperary – has 59 people waiting on trolleys.

21 people who have been admitted through the Emergency Department at South Tipp General in Clonmel are still without a bed.
